There's nothing more beautiful than a gentle summer evening near Lake Michigan. Except when that evening includes free music in one of several outdoor venues around the area.
The Downtown Holland Street Performers series features more than music. It's like a circus with a wide range of performers inclunding dancers, musicians, magicians, face-painters and clowns. There are 18 locations along 8th Street in downtown Holland and you're sure to find something fun to tickle your fancy. Performances run between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm every Thursday.
Every Tuesday evening, the Holland American Band performs at Kollen Park in Holland (240 Kollen Park Blvd. for your GPS). The band has brought their patriotic big band sound around the country and the world, featured several times for WWII remembrances in Europe in honor of D-Day. Concerts begin at 7:30pm.
Every Wednesday night the Saugatuck-Douglas Area Business Association sponsors Music in the Park with a mix of musical performers on the Gazebo at Wicks Park in Downtown Saugatuck. The music runs through August 30th starting at 7 pm. There is a rain location at the Crow Bar in Coral Gables.
The beautifully restored Felt Mansion sponsors a series of outdoor concerts on Thursday Nights through July 20. The Mansion partners with local eateries to provide food and beverages. No outside food is allowed. Food service begins at 6 pm and the concerts start 7 pm.
The City of Fennville sponsors an outdoor concert series in downtown Fennville on select Tuesdays throughout the summer. In 2017, there are concerts on June 27, July 11, July 25 & August 8 from 7 pm to 9 pm in Paradise Park. If the weather is bad, they bring the concert indoors into the Fennville District Library.
